When connecting your MP180 to your computer via USB cable, you need to first confirm that you are on your home screen before connecting the cable. Please see, “What does the “Home Screen” look like on the MP180?” for images of the home screen.
The default setting for all data storage is the internal memory of the MP180. If you want to change this to the microSD card, then you will need to insert the microSD card (with brass tabs facing up) and change the settings before connecting the USB cable.
Changing the data Storage Source:
From the home screen select the wrench icon, then the light bulb icon in the upper right hand corner. You will then need to select “Mass Storage Source” and either “SD Card” or “Internal Memory”. You will then need to select the back arrow icon to return to the previous screen. Note: Continue to use the back arrow icon until you return to the home screen and then you can connect the USB cable to the MP180 and your computer.
The pocket projector’s internal memory and the Micro SD card will appear as a removable disk on the computer. The projector will be labeled with the model number "e.g. MP180" but the Micro SD card may not have a label. Note: If you do not see either the projector’s model number label or Micro SD removable disk in Windows Explorer, you must reassign the drive to a new drive letter not already used by another drive.
