Q. Why will my pocket projector not project when connected to my computer?

A.

The problem with your setup may be the resolution on your computer.  You will need to change your resolution on your computer to 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, or 1280 x 1024 and check that the refresh rate is set to 60 Hz in order for it to work properly with your projector.

If you are connecting to a laptop computer, then you may also try disabling your laptop display panel and only have the image show on your projector.  You can achieve this by following these directions:

  1. Locate your CRT/LCD function key on the top of your keyboard.  It will be on one of the "F1" through "F12" keys.  The key will either have "CRT/LCD" written on it, or it will have a picture of a monitor on it.
  2. Locate your function button.  It is usually in the bottom left of your keyboard and it will have "FN" or "Function" written on it.
  3. Now hold down the function key and press the F key (located in step 1).  This should disable your laptop display.  If it does not, try the key combination up to two more times.

There are usually 3 cycles to this key combination.  They are usually (not necessarily in this order):

  1. Laptop and Projector both displaying
  2. Laptop displaying only
  3. Projector displaying only

Other graphic or driver settings may need to be adjusted depending on your computer's hardware.  Please consult your computer manufacturer or IT support for further assistance.
