Bluetooth on the MP180 is for transferring files only. The MP180 can not be used for streaming video or other internet options using Bluetooth.
• MP180 Supports
– Bluetooth 2.0
– Bluetooth Profiles
• Object Push profiles
• File Transfer profiles
What do these profiles mean to you?
A Bluetooth profile identifies what you can do with the Bluetooth wireless connection between two devices. Next is a description of the two profiles that the MP180 projector supports.
Object Push Profile – You can transfer a file from Bluetooth enabled device (such as your phone) to the 3M MP180 or transfer a file from the MP180 to your Bluetooth enabled device.
File Transfer Profile – Browse and manage files on the MP180 from another Bluetooth enabled device. For example, I can pair the MP180 with my computer and open a file browser window. Within this file browser window, I can see the files in the MyReceivedFiles folder on the MP180. Additionally, I can delete, move, or add files to this folder on the MP180.
Why your Bluetooth enabled device may not work with the MP180.
Whether your Bluetooth enabled device is a smartphone or computer, it must support the Bluetooth profiles Object Push Profile or File Transfer Profile. If it does not, you will not be able to share files between your device and the 3M MP180 projector. ( A few popular smartphones do not support file sharing using Bluetooth.) Refer to the device manual or specification for detail on Bluetooth version and Bluetooth profile support.
