The MP180 has a mini computer in it and sometimes needs a cold reboot. In order to perform the cold reboot, remove the battery and power cord, wait 5-10 seconds, and then reinsert the battery.
It is also recommended to upgrade the firmware on your MP180. Firmware updates are located at www.3MPocketProjectors.com/support under "Software Downloads".
